Lake Ripley Cemetery is one of those places that make you feel proud to be an American. Now, normally I think cemeteries are morbid and a strange place for people to visit if they don’t have a loved one in it but this time was a little different. When you drive past this place you can’t help but feeling a strong sense of patriotism. So much so that if you do not go in you feel like you are letting your country down. At first it was just a feeling of needing to drive down the long stretch of flags but then shortly turned in to driving around the cemetery with the thought of “How old is this cemetery?” The oldest grave we were able to make out from the drive was 1884. How neat is that?
