This garlic herb chicken with asparagus one pan meal will have you and your family wanting it on a regular basis. Not only is it easy to make but it is great on your taste buds. You won't be sorry you tried this recipe.

Yields4 Servings
Total Time25 mins

 4 chicken breasts
1 bundle of asparagus, ends snapped off
3 tbsp butter (I like Tillamook unsalted)
1 ½ tbsp fresh minced garlic
1 ½ tsp fresh dried basil (I grow my own basil)
 1 ½ tsp dried oregano
 1 ½ tsp onion powder
 salt and pepper to taste

1

Season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides. (if you don't like salt and pepper skip this step)

2

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large cast iron skillet (any pan will do, I just prefer the cast iron for this recipe) over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic and herbs and cook another minute until the garlic has your smell sensors jumping for joy.

3

Reduce heat to medium, add chicken to pan, and cook for 5-7 minutes, then flip and cook another 5-7 minutes. (Chicken should be nearly cooked through but not all the way.)

4

Move the chicken over to the sides and add remaining 1 tablespoon butter to the middle of the pan.

5

Season asparagus with salt and pepper if you like. Once the butter is melted, add asparagus. Cook, rotating throughout, for 4-6 minutes until tender and chicken is completely cooked through. (Chicken should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees.)

6

Serve immediately and enjoy!
