Gramma's Banana Nut bread is one of those snacks that leads to eating almost the whole loaf before you realize you should be sharing this wonderful snack with your friends and family. After that realization sets in, you think "I'll share the next one."

 ½ cup room temperature butter (I use Tillamook unsalted)
 1 cup sugar
 2 eggs
 3 ripe bananas (this is essential, you will notice a difference)
 2 cups flour
 1 tsp baking soda
 3 tbsp milk
 1 cup chopped walnuts (This is optional if you want to make it banana nut bread.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter and sugar together.

Add eggs and bananas.

Mix until the bananas are mashed well.

Add flour, milk and baking soda.

Blend thoroughly, but do not over mix.

OPTIONAL-If you want banana nut bread, here you will fold in the nuts.

Pour batter into 2 small greased and floured loaf pans or in to 1 large greased and floured loaf pans.

Bake 45 minutes. Test with a toothpick. (If you stick a toothpick in and it comes out clean, the loaves are done.)

Remove loaves from pan and set on a cooling rack to cool.
